Solutions, Software and Tools Alawy
is experienced in implementing a variety of Security Solutions. While
much of our work has been with proprietary solutions, we also encourage
the development and implementation of OpenSource technologies.
Single Sign-On, Reduced Sign On
Proprietary Tools Most
of our hands-on commercial experience has been implementing Netegrity |
CA products : SiteMinder, IdentityMinder and TransactionMinder.
However, we are also experienced in IBM's Tivoli Access Manager, Tivoli
Identity Manager and RSA's ClearTrust. We are trained and certified by
Netegrity (CA) in SiteMinder Single-Sign On architecture and
deployment. Most
people choose proprietary tools because they want the level of support
that comes with these solutions, without employing a trained, dedicated
on-site developer Open Source Tools Sometimes
a client needs a full-featured solution, but doesn't want the cost
overhead associated with Proprietary Tools. As implementers of Secure
Solutions, we encourage the development and implementation of
OpenSource technology, such as OpenSSO (SUN's open implementation) and
Java Open Single Sign-On (JOSSO).
The Open Source movement came out of the frustration of many
corporations and individuals that want 'top of the line' products, but
could not afford the investment. Today, Security Services companies
like Alawy support Secure Solutions, without being on-site, or the need
to pay the mandatory technical support fees associated with proprietary
tools. Open Source
technologies are being build by the most talented and experienced
developers in the world. And Open Source initiatives are being funded
by major technology companies. In Open Source, technology innovation is
not restricted by a company's bottom line, or self-protective
motivations. Their success as a breed can be measured in their growing
market share -- competing and even surpassing the share held by
Industry Leaders and name brand software.

Access
Management Tools: Biometrics, Secure IDs The
cornerstone of any secure system is to provide access priveledges to
those who are authorized to use the system. How can you be sure that
only those authorized are gaining access?
Biometrics
Alawy can integrate biometric technology into the
authentication and access management solution to verify without a doubt
that whoever wants to gain access is really who they say they are.
Biometric authentication uses unique biological markers, such as an
individual's retina pattern and fingerprint to verify the identity of a
user with 100% accuracy. Usernames and Passwords can be stolen, shared,
compromised. Biometrics verifies identity beyond a doubt, and protects
your most sensitive information and systems from corporate espionage,
theft or vandalism when used in conjunction with a secure, policy based
Single Sign On Access Management system such as Netegrity SiteMinder or
RSA ClearTrust. We
can use a variety biometric technologies such as: retina scans, finger
or palm print access to confirm identity and allow access to sensitive
areas of your enterprise. BNX Biometrics Authenticated Sign On.
Secure
IDs Secure Cards, also known as Secure IDs and
Smart Cards, are a convenient and secure method of validating identity,
creating a method of non-repudation while enabling secure access to
your Information System. Secure IDs are issued to individuals within
the company granting them secure access in conjunction with a policy
based Single Sign On Access Management system such as Netegrity
SiteMinder or RSA ClearTrust. Cisco Secure IDs, RSA Secure Cards.

Intrusion
Detection Systems (IDS) We help you design,
deploy, and tune IDS implementations. We educate you on the proper
review process for alerts. We assist with IDS training and response
planning. We review reports with you as needed and supply organizations
with a list of high, medium, and low threats as they arise. We can also
simulate attacks to test and validate your IDS technology and response
capability. Back

Import Regulations and Technology
Restrictions To Our
Clients in the Middle East Regulations
governing the exportation and importation of advanced security
technologies, algorithms and methodologies into many countries in the
Middle East, coupled with a region-wide over-reliance on notoriously
unsecure technologies, can seem to be a hindrance to providing adequate
security to your enterprise. We will help by transversing the
regulatory minefield to find and implement Industry Standard security
solutions that won't put you in legal jeopardy.
Industry
Standard Solutions All of our solutions are Industry
Standard and conform to recognized global security
quality standards. However, "Industry Standard" doesn't have to mean
"expensive" or "restrictive". We will advise the best solution for you
based on your business and technical needs, your budget, export
restrictions and regulations in your country.

Practices,
Policies, Behaviors Good employees are an
invaluable asset to business. A great part of securing your enterprise
lies in training your staff to understand how valuable your clients'
data, your business' sensitive information and the technology systems
that store them, are to competitors, hackers, criminals, disgruntled
employees and other malevolent people.
The more sensitive the data, the more attractive it is to all
of those above. We
train your staff in the importance of secure data handling (paper and
electronic), adhering to secure practices when using passwords,
accessing accounts electronically, and handling sensitive documents. We will work with
departments and management in your company to bring an awareness of
secure practices to your personnel through best practices training.
You end up with employees who are security saavy and are more aware of
security risks. Back
